The Hispanic-Serving Health Professions Schools (HSHPS) put on a professional development workshop entitled “Catapult Your Research Career Using Public Data Sets” from June 28-30 in Bethesda, MD. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office of Minority Health, and in collaboration with the HHS/National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded the workshop.
Dr. Harrison Spencer, ASPPH President and CEO, was pleased to participate on a plenary panel on June 30 entitled “Framing a National Agenda in Advancing Hispanic Health.” Dr. Maureen Lichtveld (Tulane), president of the HSHPS, moderated the panel, and was joined by a number of interprofessional colleagues:
