Dr. Alan Jette, director of the Health and Disabilities Research Institute at Boston University School of Public Health, has been named a member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) for his insightful and innovative work in disability assessment. The IOM is one of four National Academies, along with the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, and the National Research Council. Dean Robert Meenan, Boston University School of Public Health, said he was both “pleased and proud” that Dr. Jette has been elected to the IOM, calling him “very worthy of this national recognition.”
