Columbia Finds Earlier Detection of Childhood Eye Cancer Does Not Always Improve Survival

For the most common form of childhood eye cancer, unilateral retinoblastoma, speeding the time from the first appearance of symptoms to diagnosis of disease has no bearing on survival or stage of the disease, finds a new study by researchers at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and partners. Results are published online in Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention.
