Columbia Promotes Use of Systems Science

The Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health launched the Columbia University Systems Science Program (CUSSP) to promote the latest and most novel applications of advanced systems science methods – tools for making connections between diverse phenomena and incorporating knowledge from the social sciences to engineering, biology, and medicine. This joint venture with the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences brings together scholars from across disciplines to advance study on the many health problems that arise in complex urban environments. More than 25 faculty members from across the University are actively engaged in this intellectual exchange.
