Drexel Professor Named to Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine Program

Dr. Leslie Ain McClure, professor and chair of Epidemiology and Biostatistics in the Dornsife School of Public Health at Drexel University, was recently named a fellow in the 2017-2018 Class of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine® (ELAM®) program.

Co-founded by Dornsife School of Public Health Dean’s Advisory Council member Dr. Walter Cohen, then president of Medical College of Pennsylvania, ELAM® is a year-long part-time fellowship for women faculty in schools of medicine, dentistry and public health. The program is dedicated to developing the professional and personal skills required to lead and manage in today’s complex health care environment, with special attention to the unique challenges facing women in leadership positions. More than 1,000 ELAM alumnae hold leadership positions in institutions around the world.

Dr. McClure is the fifth leader from the Dornsife School of Public Health to participate in the program.
