Dr. Zupenda Davis, a recent graduate of Drexel University School of Public Health, received the Community Leadership Award on December 2 from the Community Advisory Board to the Center for AIDS Research at the University of Pennsylvania at the organization’s tenth annual Red Ribbon Award ceremony. The event was held in conjunction with World AIDS Day. Ms. Davis was previously a training specialist with the PA/MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Center for the Health Federation of Philadelphia. She helped coordinate more than 300 training sessions annually. The trainings ranged from 25 to 400 clinicians and other service providers. Ms. Davis recently changed positions and is now an assistant professor and the director of the Bachelor of Science in Public Health Program at the LaSalle University School of Nursing and Health Sciences.
