Dr. Arsham Alamian in the department of biostatistics and epidemiology, along with three other faculty members from the East Tennessee State University College of Public Health (Dr. Shimin Zheng, assistant professor of biostatistics, Drs. Jonathan Peterson and Dr. Effiong Otukonyong, both assistant professors in the department of health sciences) has received a Diversity Research Grant from the Tennessee Board of Regents, to characterize the metabolic profile of an Hispanic at-risk pediatric population in Northeast Tennessee.
