Executive Lifetime Achievement Award Presented to Michigan Alumnus

Mr. E. Russell Jackson, senior vice president at the Florida Medical Association (FMA), received his MPH from Michigan’s School of Public Health. He was recently awarded the American Medical Association’s Executive Lifetime Achievement Award, given to a medical association executive who has substantially contributed to the goals and ideals of the medical profession. Mr. Jackson directly assists the executive vice president and the president of FMA in all operations and was previously the director of FMA’s division of programs where he supervised eight departments and worked with the Florida Legislature and national government agencies. Dr. David O. Barbe, chair of the AMA Board of Trustees said that Mr. Jackson has “played a pivotal role in helping Florida physicians provide better care for their patients.”
