Ms. Wajiha Akhtar, a doctoral student in the department of epidemiology at the University of Florida College of Public Health Professions and the College of Medicine, has been named to the American Public Health Association’s Science Board as the student representative. The board reviews proposed APHA policies for their scientific adequacy and actively participates in the association’s policy review process.
