Drs. Toni P. Miles, professor of epidemiology and biostatistics, and Kerstin Gerst Emerson, assistant professor in the department of health policy and management, from the University of Georgia College of Public Health, have recently been invited to work with state officials, as well as experts in business, policy, health care, transportation, and safety, to advise the newly organized Georgia Alzheimer’s and Related Dementias (GARD) Task Force. GARD is a joint effort involving the Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services, and the Department of Public Health.
