Georgia State University recently hosted and trained child welfare professionals from the Ashdod municipality in Israel, sponsored by Jerusalem’s Haruv Institute, who will be implementing SafeCareTM starting this year. SafeCareTM is a model for curbing child maltreatment developed by researchers at Georgia State, which has been adopted by approximately 20 states in the U.S. and in nearly half a dozen countries worldwide.
