IOM Committee on Social and Behavioral Domains and Measures for Electronic Health Records

The Institute of Medicine (of the National Academy of Science) has established a Committee on Social and Behavioral Domains and Measures for Electronic Health Records. The committee is charged with making recommendations regarding domains and measures of social and behavioral factors relevant to health and health care for inclusion in electronic health records, including in Stage 3 Meaningful Use.  The committee welcomes input from interested providers, researchers, and patients regarding their views and experiences in screening for social and behavioral information. The committee will be holding a meeting on November 25 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. on the campus of University of California, San Francisco in the Laurel Heights auditorium at 3333 California Street, S1-24 Auditorium.
