Recent research from the University of Iowa’s Dr. Brian Smith and Dr. James Mezhir provides a new approach and tool set for the prediction of lymph node ratio (LNR) and survival in pancreatic cancer patients that may be applicable to other cancer types as well. The research, published in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, combines a fully Bayesian statistical modeling framework with a real-time, web-based interface to make the predictions.
