The Johns Hopkins Center for Public Health Preparedness at the Bloomberg School of Public Health is comprised of two, CDC-funded programs: the Johns Hopkins Preparedness and Emergency Response Research Center (JHPERRC) and the Johns Hopkins Preparedness and Emergency Response Learning Center (JHPERLC). Established in 2002, these Centers continue to conduct research and training activities to improve the capacity and capability of the public health system to prepare for, respond to, and recover from a host of public health threats and emergencies, particularly as they apply to the mental and behavioral health issues that affect both responders and victims.
