Johns Hopkins Leads the Way in Vaccine Development and Access

The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health is leading the way in immunization research on many fronts. The School's Center for Immunization Research (CIR) facilitates the development of new vaccines for infectious diseases of global importance, with a primary focus on phase one and two vaccine trials. CIR faculty evaluate novel vaccines; serve on national and international vaccine advisory committees, including the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (CDC) and the Vaccines and Related Biologicals Advisory Committee (FDA); and educate students interested in vaccinology through coursework and research projects.
