Dr. Susmita Datta, professor at the University of Louisville School of Public Health and Information Science, has been elected to a three-year term on the advisory board of the International Biometric Society (Eastern North American Region), an international society for the advancement of biological science through the development of quantitative theories and the application, development, and dissemination of mathematical and statistical techniques. As a board member, she will contribute to policy decisions, give input on appointments and activities, and represent the international community in various biometric society activities.
