Mr. Brooks Leitner, an undergraduate student in kinesiology and graduate of the Global Public Health Scholars program in the University of Maryland School of Public Health, has been selected to represent the University of Maryland at the 2014 Universitas 21 Undergraduate Research Conference “Food Safety: From Farm to Table,” to be held in July in Shanghai, China. Hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the conference will feature lectures from experts in food safety and food security as well as a poster session and student presentations. This is the 10th annual undergraduate research conference organized by Universitas 21, a network of 27 research universities worldwide, four of which are in the United States.
