Mr. Jack Kalbfleisch, professor in the biostatistics department at the University of Michigan School of Public Health, was awarded the Snedecor Award at this year’s Joint Statistical Meetings. This award, established in 1976, is presented every other year to an individual who has been instrumental in the development of a statistical theory in biometry. The award was given from the Committee of Presidents of Statistical Societies.
