Most women going through menopause expect their monthly periods to end. However, researchers at the University of Michigan have found that the majority of women experience an increase in the amount and duration of bleeding episodes throughout the menopausal transition. The researchers include a collaborative team of University of Michigan Health System faculty, along with Dr. Siobhan Harlow, professor of epidemiology, Dr. Linda Lisabeth, associate professor and chair of epidemiology, and Dr. Michael Elliot, professor of biostatistics.
