Minnesota Finds Food Insecurity among Veterans of U.S. Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan

According to a new study led by Dr. Rachel Widome, assistant professor at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, 27 percent of U.S. veterans reported being food insecure. Food insecurity is the inability to access a sufficient amount of food for a healthy lifestyle and nationally it’s estimated to affect 14.5 percent of the general population.
