The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) offers graduate-level students a structured, academic experience and the opportunity to work on policy and practice issues impacting public health at the local level. Students will approach these issues with an understanding of the great diversity among the 2,800 local health departments that make up NACCHO’s membership. Selected students will choose their preferred focus areas based on their interests and skill sets. Focus areas range from public health preparedness to environmental health to public health law. Scholars will assist with project deliverables in their specific focus area. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis through September 29.
