Dr. Li-Wu Chen, professor and chair of Health Services Research and Administration at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Public Health, has been selected to a three-year term in the AcademyHealth Education Council. AcademyHealth is a leading national organization serving the fields of health services and policy research and the professionals who produce and use this important work. It also brings stakeholders together to address the current and future needs of an evolving health system, inform health policy and translate evidence into action. The responsibility of the Education Council is to advise the board of directors and the leadership of AcademyHealth on the priorities and trends in the educational needs of AcademyHealth members and the field of health services research. Dr. Chen also is director of the Center for Health Policy Analysis and Rural Health Research and co-director of the Nebraska Public Health Practice-Based Research Network.
