Northwestern: Assistant Professor Appointed to New Directions for Evaluation Editorial Board

Dr. Leah C. Neubauer, assistant professor of preventive medicine at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University and faculty in the Northwestern Institute for Public Health and Medicine, has been appointed to the editorial board of New Directions for Evaluation.

Dr. Neubauer’s predominant duties on the editorial board are to review proposed volumes and offer insights about potential new topics that will help advance the field of evaluation.

New Directions for Evaluation provides a forum to engage diverse perspectives from across the globe to create and enhance bridges between evaluation and other disciplines,” stated Dr. Neubauer. “I am honored to be appointed to this editorial board and welcome the opportunity to contribute to expanding evaluation-related discourse.”

According to the journal’s website its aim is to, “Present timely and thoughtful reflections on leading edge issues of evaluation, and the organizational, cultural, and societal context within which evaluations occur. Each issue of New Directions for Evaluation is devoted to a single topic, with contributions solicited, organized, reviewed, and edited by guest editors.”

Dr. Neubauer received her EdD from the department of adult and continuing education at National Louis University, in Chicago, Illinois. Her current research interest areas focus on multidisciplinary, theoretical and methodological approaches to health education, health promotion and program evaluation.
