Northwestern Students to Screen Chicagoans for Heart Disease

Northwestern Medicine is partnering with the Chicago Department of Public Health to expand an innovative program, Keep Your Heart Healthy, to screen Chicago residents for cardiovascular disease. The GE Foundation, which is supporting the program with a $2.2 million grant, announced the expansion at a recent event. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Dr. Bechara Choucair, commissioner of the Department of Public Health and adjunct associate professor in family and community medicine, spoke at the event.
