The Health Division at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is looking for fall interns at a graduate-level (currently seeking a Master’s degree) in public policy, public health, public administration, business, economics, or a related field.  The duration of the assignment is flexible, but OMB is looking for an intern to begin early September through February, or longer if available. Internships will be unpaid and interns should expect to commit 20-30 hours weekly. Experience:
Candidates must be strong multi-taskers, have excellent written and oral communications skills, and be able to work quickly and provide sound analysis in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should also have strong quantitative skills and experience and academic training in government, economics, and statistics. Knowledge of health policy, the Federal budget and appropriations process is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities may include:

• Assisting in the formulation and preparation of Administration policy, primarily as it relates to the fiscal year 2016 President’s Budget;
• Assisting in the conception and production of materials that provide recommendations to policy officials;
• Regularly coordinating assignments, including Congressional testimony, data calls, agency reports and other White House documents, across the Health Division, OMB, White House, and the Department of Health and Human Services;
• Assisting in briefing and making recommendations to policy officials, both verbally and in writing, on budget, management, and policy issues.
