Two Oregon State University College of Public Health and Human Sciences Extension and Public Health Practice faculty members were recently honored for their efforts to enhance the lives of Oregon’s youth through 4-H. 4-H Tech Wizards program coordinator Mr. Octaviano Merecias-Cuevas received the 2014 Frances Dancy Hooks Award during the thirty-second annual Peace Breakfast at Oregon State. The award recognizes students, staff, or faculty who exemplify Frances Dancy Hooks’ work building bridges across cultures, show courage in promoting diversity, and who proudly “walk the talk.”
