This year marks the thirtieth anniversary of the landmark 1985 U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Report of the Public Health Service Task Force on Women’s Health Issues. On Tuesday, April 7, federal government leaders in women’s health, Dr. Nancy Lee, Dr. Janine Austin Clayton, and Ms. Marsha Henderson, discussed both achievements from the past and challenges for the future in women’s health. The presenters described progress in women’s reproductive health, understanding of sex differences in medicine, and the inclusion of women in clinical research.
