The National Program Office (NPO) for Public Health Law Research (PHLR), a nationally recognized program sponsored by Robert Wood Johnson Foundation for the evaluation of the health impact of laws and legal practices, seeks a postdoctoral fellow who will provide quantitative analytical support to the PHLR team for two years. The successful candidate holds a PhD, with training in law/health policy, or a JD, with strong training in empirical public health. At least three years’ related experience in legal research and public health is desired, but an equivalent combination of education and empirical research experience may be considered. The position functions include  performing quantitative analyses; learning methods specifically related to PHLR; writing scholarly publications in the fields of law and public health; preparing abstracts and presentations for local, state, and national scientific meetings; demonstrating in-depth technical knowledge and experience with law and public health; supporting PHLR leadership with preparation of grants and manuscripts; and traveling to make presentations.
