Research at UNC Aims To Prevent and Better Treat Cancer

A number of factors, including health care access, affordability, and minority status, may have an impact upon an individual’s developing and being adequately treated for cancer. In three recent or ongoing studies, University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health researchers have examined how financial access, sexual identity, and race can determine whether a person receives and survives a cancer diagnosis.
