Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research: Call for Abstracts

The Society for Advancement of Violence and Injury Research (SAVIR) will be hosting its Fifth Biennial National Conference at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans, LA, from March 11-13, 2015.

Over several decades, injury and violence prevention and control scientists have worked tirelessly to enhance the health and safety of communities across the United States and abroad. Representing a variety of fields, disciplines, and organizations, these professionals work collaboratively each day to achieve a shared goal: to decrease the national burden of injuries and violence.

The theme for the 2015 conference is “Maximizing Injury Research to Benefit All”. During this Conference, SAVIR will be focusing on how injury research can best promote positive behaviors and policies that have impact throughout the lifespan and across diverse populations.

Students and early career scientists are encouraged to participate. This is a great opportunity to share your work with nationally and internationally recognized leaders in injury research. SAVIR invites abstract submissions related to injury prevention and control science and policy for this dynamic meeting experience. SAVIR also encourages submission of Topic Symposia, which are special sessions designed to provide a discussion by experts related to a specific topic or theme.

Submit your abstract online at http://www.savirweb.org/submit on or before the Friday, October 17 at 11:59 PM EDT deadline.
