On Tuesday, the University of Alberta hosted a series of meetings about SOPHAS and the Certified in Public Health Credential. Mr. Guy Piotrowski, admissions coordinator, University of Minnesota, Dr. Mary Ann Smith, assistant dean for student affairs, University of Texas, Mr. Josh Huber, support manager, Liaison International and Ms. Allison Foster, ASPPH deputy executive director, presented to the University of Alberta School of Public Health faculty and staff about participating in SOPHAS. Should the University of Alberta join SOPHAS in the fall 2014, it will be the first non-US ASPPH member to participate in the service. The meeting was hosted by Dean Kue Young and Dr. Faith Davis, vice dean. It was also attended by professor Gian Jhanigri, Mr. Bob Sadler, Dr. Linda Carroll, Dr. Norm Neumann, Dr. Sentil Senthilselvan, Dr. Ruth Wolfe, Dr. Duncan Saunders, Ms. Donna Richardson, Ms. Felicity Hey, Ms. Carmen McBride, Ms. Grace Tsang, Ms. Linda Rose, and Ms. Elizabeth Campbell.
