SOPHAS Site Visit at Penn State and Northeastern

On Friday, October 3, Penn State Master of Public Health (MPH) Program hosted a SOPHAS site visit. Mr. Matthew Brandon, University of Miami Public Health Graduate Programs, director of admissions, Ms. Allison Foster, ASPPH deputy executive director, and Ms. Tracie Seward, George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, assistant director of admissions, presented about participating in SOPHAS.

Attending on behalf of the Penn State program were: Dr. Wenke Hwang, director, MPH Program, Dr. Doug Leslie, vice chair for education, Department of Public Health Sciences, Dr. Vern Chinchilli, chair, Department of Public Health Sciences, Dr. Robin Taylor Wilson, director, DrPH Program, Dr. Michael Verderame, associate dean for graduate studies, Penn State College of Medicine, and Ms. Farah Kauffman, deputy director.

On Thursday, October 9, the Northeastern University MPH Program in Urban Health hosted a SOPHAS site visit. Mr. Jonathan Cote, Boston University director of admissions, Ms. Allison Foster, ASPPH deputy executive director, and Mr. Vincent James, Harvard School of Public Health director of admissions, presented on SOPHAS. Attending on behalf of the Northeastern MPH program were Ms. Alison Gillis, program manager, MPH Program in Urban Health, Dr. Shan Mohammed, director, MPH Program in Urban Health, Ms. Molly Schnabel, director of graduate admissions and student services, and Ms. Ilira Grilli, graduate admissions coordinator.
