On Friday, June 19, Charles Drew University MPH Program in Urban Health Disparities hosted a SOPHAS site visit. Ms. Allison Foster, ASPPH deputy executive director, and Mr. Vincent James, Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health director of admissions,  presented about participating in SOPHAS. Attending from Charles Drew were Dr. Sondos Islam, associate professor and interim director, Dr. Rita Gloria Sawyer, chief student services officer, Ms. Claudia Corleto, program coordinator, Dr. Bita Amani, assistant professor, and Mr. Amin Maghsoodi, director of admissions.

On Tuesday, June 23, the University of Nevada Reno Public Health Program also hosted a SOPHAS site visit. Ms. Allison Foster, and Mr. Guy Piotrowski, coordinator for applications and admissions University of Minnesota School of Public Health, presented about participating in SOPHAS. Attending the meeting were Dr. Trudy Larson, director of the School of Community Health Sciences, Dr. Paul G. Devereux, associate professor, Dr. Kristen Clements-Nolle, associate professor, Ms. Bonnie Coker, administrative assistant, Ms. Kara Cleveland, manager, graduate school operations, and Dr. David Zeh, vice provost for graduate education and dean of the graduate school.

The next SOPHAS admissions cycle will open on August 18. A number of new programs are expected to join the service at that time.
