On Monday, the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston Graduate Program in Public Health hosted a SOPHAS site visit. Dr. Mary Ann Smith, associate dean for student affairs, University of Texas School of Public Health, and Ms. Allison Foster, ASPPH deputy executive director, presented about participating in SOPHAS. The meeting was hosted by Dr. Kristen Peek, professor and vice chair for education; preventive medicine and community health, and was attended by Dr. Christine Arcari, associate professor and director of the Public Health Program, Mr. William Boeh, registrar executive director of enrollment services, Ms. Leann Carmical, director of student records and admissions, Ms. Shannon Carroll, public health program coordinator, Ms. Peggy Robinson, assistant director of university admissions, and Ms. Brittany Wallace, administrative secretary in preventive medicine and community health.
The UTMB- Galveston program will be joining SOPHAS in September.
