Dr. Jessica Richardson and Dr. Krystal Werfel, faculty in the University of South Carolina Arnold School of Public Health's department of communication sciences and disorders (COMD), have received honors in recognition of their scholarly work. Dr. Richardson was named the recipient of the Young Investigator Award at the NYC Neuromodulation Conference, which brings together pioneers and emerging innovations in transcranial electrical stimulation. The award recognizes prominent neuromodulation research from young investigators. Dr. Richardson and Dr. Werfel, assistant professors in the Arnold School, are the recipients of the Advancing Academic Research Careers (AARC) Award from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The award supports ASHA's objective to increase research commitment.
