Dr. Ismael Hoare, associate professor in the College of Public Health’s department of global health, was invited by PAHO’s Office of Caribbean Program Coordination and the Ministry of Health in Grenada to develop a National Human Resources for Health Policy document for Grenada.

In support of this project, Dr. Hoare conducted two national consultation meetings in July and August that included interviews and sessions with key national stakeholders. These meetings provided necessary input for developing the national policy document. In addition, an integrated rapid assessment of Grenada’s human resources for health system was conducted through a systematic, extensive review of documents related to human resources for health in Grenada.
