South Florida Professor Named Co-recipient of Teratology Society’s Distinguished Scholar Award

The Teratology Society has named Dr. Russell Kirby, USF Distinguished Professor and Marrell Endowed Chair at the USF College of Public Health, a 2015 co-recipient of its Birth Defects Research Part A Distinguished Scholar Award.

A letter from Dr. Robert G. Ellis-Hutchings, Teratology Society Awards Committee chair, said Dr. Kirby, who teaches in the department of community and family Health, is recognized for his “scholarly efforts … associated with national prevalence estimates for selected birth defects.”
