The Texas A&M School of Public Health Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) Chapter will receive the Gold status award at the 2017 HFES International Annual Conference in Austin, Texas on October 11.

Chapters are judged across a number of categories with emphasis on demonstrated excellence in at least eight areas including outreach/volunteerism, service to HFES, recruitment, collaboration, and mentorship. Gold status is the highest recognition a chapter can receive.
