Texas A&M Inducts Newest Members into Local Chapter of Delta Omega Honorary Society

The Texas A&M School of Public Health recently inducted a faculty member, 12 students and 12 alumni into the local Alpha Tau chapter of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health. New members were recognized during the school’s 2017 Awards Reception & Dinner at the Phillips Event Center.

The Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health was founded in 1924 at Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health as the honorary society for graduate studies in public health.

Faculty members are nominated for outstanding performance in teaching and research, while students are chosen for scholarly performance and dedication to the advancement of the health of all people. Alumni are nominated for actively engaging in public health work.

Faculty member and associate dean for academic affairs, Dr. Amy Fairchild, was inducted along with the following students: Mr. Gustavo Elizondo, Mr. Eduardo Gandara, Ms. Stephanie Hon-Glencher, Ms. Louis Myatt, Ms. Revati Narawane, Ms. Kristin Primm, Ms. Micaela Sandoval, Ms. Brenda Sandragorsian, Ms. Jessica Smarr, Ms. Katie Snyder, Mr. Mubarak Tukur and Ms. Jane Yi.  Alumni Inductees included Ms. Evelia Castillo, Mr. John Coppin, Mr. Farouq Dayyab, Ms. Kayla Fair, Ms. Diana Garcia, Ms. Sara Imanpour, Ms. Terri Menser, Ms. Kristen Miller, Mr. Ahmed Muhsin, Mr. Jarius Pulczinski, Ms. Amber Trueblood, Ms. Morayo Wabara.
