Texas A&M Researchers to Examine Ergonomic Risk in Software Design

The Office of Ergonomics Research Committee (OERC) recently awarded Dr. S. Camille Peres and Dr. Ranjana Mehta, assistant professors at the Texas A&M Health Science Center School of Rural Public Health, $26,500 in funding for a research project focused on office ergonomic risk assessment and mitigation, specifically that associated with interactive software usage. The OERC is a consortium of companies who work together to advance ergonomic research and include Apple, Chevron, Dell, Exxon Mobil, HP, and Microsoft.
