Dr. Alexandra Evans, associate professor of health promotion and behavioral sciences at The University of Texas School of Public Health, Austin Regional Campus has been appointed to the Sustainable Food Policy Board (SFPB), which advises both the Austin City Council and the Travis County Commissioners’ Court. She will serve a two-year term with the SFPB providing recommendations that aim to improve the availability of safe, nutritious, locally, and sustainably-grown food at reasonable prices for all residents, particularly those in need.
