Tulane Professor Recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher

Dr. Jiang He, Joseph S. Copes, chair and professor of the department of epidemiology at the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, has been included among Thomson Reuters’ list of Highly Cited Researchers for 2014.

According to highlycited.com, Highly Cited Researchers 2014 represents some of world’s leading scientific minds. Over three thousand researchers earned the distinction by writing the greatest numbers of reports officially designated by Essential Science Indicators℠ as Highly Cited Papers—ranking among the top 1 percent most cited for their subject field and year of publication, earning them the mark of exceptional impact.

“This indicator plays an important role in our international ranking,” said Dean Pierre Buekens. “We are very proud of Dr. He!”

He is cited for his citations in clinical medicine. Thomson Reuters identifies researchers in 21 broad fields of the sciences and social sciences, fields similar to those used in the Essential Sciences Indicators, according to their website.
