Tulane Provides Web Resources on Ebola and Chikungunya for Community

The Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine has posted two web resources for the community, each addressing pressing health concerns in the media.

The school’s Ebola Outbreak page provides links to reputable sources for information, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The page also includes links to the wealth of faculty and alumni commentary in the media.

The school has also formed a Chikungunya Task Force with a related webpage to keep the Louisiana community informed about the mosquito-borne disease. Links to national, state, and city resources have been included. Dr. Dawn Wesson, associate professor of tropical medicine, is leading the task force, which includes faculty from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, the Tulane School of Medicine, and the Tulane National Primate Center, as well as international partners with relevant chikungunya experience.
