Ms. Sadhvi Batra, a recent honors graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has been selected along with 32 other young leaders as a member of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) inaugural class of E3! Ambassadors, who aim to “Educate, Engage, and Empower” and to highlight key federal programs and resources in which AAPIs may be underserved.
As an E3! Ambassador—notably, one of only two selected in the southern region—Ms. Batra will conduct outreach within the UAB campus and the community from September 2014 through May 2015. Through these efforts, she and the fellow leaders will help advance and sustain the next generation of AAPI leaders.
Ms. Batra double majored in neuroscience and philosophy and is currently pursuing a fast track master’s degree in public health. Her selection to serve on the WHIAAPI is in recognition of Ms. Batra’s significant accomplishments.
