Dr. David Henry, professor of health policy and administration at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Public Health and researcher at the Institute of Health Research and Policy, received the 2013 Community, Culture and Prevention Science Award from the Society for Prevention Research for his work with Alaska Native communities. Like his work in Chicago, his research collaborations at the University of Alaska have focused on understanding culture and the community ecology as related to health risk and protection.
