Dr. Louis Graham, assistant professor of community health education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst School of Public Health and Health Sciences, recently received the Kaiser Permanente Burch Minority Leadership Development Program award. The goals of the $22,800 fellowship, administered by the Institute for Alternative Futures (IAF), are “to improve health equity and services to the underserved as well as to develop and sustain a more diverse pool of leaders and experts with access to the federal health policy community.” Researchers who receive the award are selected from scholars with recent postdoctoral training through a number of prestigious programs. Dr. Graham was a W.K. Kellogg Health Scholar in Ann Arbor, MI from 2010-2012.
