The Carolina Global Breastfeeding Institute (CGBI) celebrated the 21st annual World Breastfeeding Week with events at the Chapel Hill, NC Farmers Market on Saturday, August 3. The Institute, based in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health's department of maternal and child health, collaborated with the North Carolina Breastfeeding Coalition to promote the theme of this year's Breastfeeding Week – peer support for mothers to initiate and sustain breastfeeding for their infants.
