UNC Preparedness Initiatives

UNC Center for Public Health Preparedness Public Health Preparedness Training Series – To assist with the need for preparedness trainings, the University of North Carolina (UNC) Center for Public Health Preparedness has launched a new training series, Basics of Public Health Preparedness. The Basics of Public Health Preparedness is a 10-module online training series designed to introduce preparedness staff at local public health agencies to the core concepts of public health preparedness series, such as planning, exercises, medical countermeasures, and risk communication. These free, interactive trainings map to the key functions in the national Public Health Preparedness Capabilities issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as established national competency sets for public health preparedness and core public health.
