The University of Washington School of Public Health held the largest graduation in its 44-year history, with more than 500 graduates. They represented 10 different programs within the School.
Some highlights from the ceremony were the address from graduation speaker Dr. Maxine Hayes, who just retired after 16 years as the Health Officer for Washington State, and the student address from Corrie Marie Ortega, doctoral recipient of the Gilbert S. Omenn Award, which recognizes outstanding academic achievement and commitment to public health.
