Dr. Bruce Psaty, professor of epidemiology and health services at the University of Washington School of Public Health, was elected on October 21 to the Institute of Medicine, the health arm of the National Academy of Sciences. Dr. Psaty is a professor of medicine at Washington and an investigator at Group Health Research Institute in Seattle. He co-directs the Cardiovascular Health Research Unit and practices general internal medicine at the Adult Medicine Clinic at Harborview Medical Center.
